Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the most fantastic dad and husband ever! You are an amazing father to Colton and I am so lucky that you have chosen me to enjoy this journey with you. You are kind, patient, and loving. I know Colton absolutely adores you and looks up to you in every way. I only hope that our boys will be as great of a father to their children one day, as you are to them. I can't wait to add to our family and have another little boy that is going to thoroughly enjoy his daddy!

First Dentist Appointment

Colton had his first dentist appointment on Monday. I also had an appointment for a cleaning so I was able to go first so Colton could see me get my teeth cleaned and then he was up next. I was a little nervous about how he was going to do but he actually did a fantastic job and I was very proud of him. He let the hygienist count, brush, and floss all of his teeth, I was amazed! Colton's favorite part of the dental experience was Mr. Sucker, as Terri called it (you know the spit sucker wand?) He has 20 teeth, all pearly white, and perfect....for now! I have a very bad feeling that braces will be in his future. He has the same exact mouth as Chris, high narrow palate, so all those little teeth fit perfectly now but I have a feeling they aren't going to fit so straight when they get to be big teeth!

Gone Fishin'

Last weekend was my weekend to work and Chris had quite a few parties and early things going on at work so my mom figured it would be a great weekend to go to my Granparents lake. Colton got to camp, fish, and hang out on the boat. I think he had a great time, and I am sure it made the weekend go by a lot faster for him! Also I figure he had a pretty fantastic time by the amount of dirt he brought home and the fact that he was zonked out by 8:30 that night and slept till a little after 8 the next morning!

We Welcome....

Yesterday was my 21 week appointment at the OB office and we also had our much anticipated 20 week ultrasound! Chris was able to go in to work a bit late and Colton and Chris' mom joined in on the ultrasound as well. It was nice to be able to have Jan join us because she was there when we had our 20 week ultrasound with Colton too. So on to the much anticipated news...We Welcome.....

Its a boy! Pictures, Images and Photos

Chris and I are very excited to be welcoming another little boy into our house. Actually I think Chris is more excited than I am, when we left the ultrasound office he pumped his fist in the air and said "Yes! Another Boy!" I think Colton is going to be a great big brother and I hope they have a great brotherly bond.

Rainy Day Fun

Yes, I know it's wasting water, yes, I know it's not politically correct to do this, yes, I know it's not eco friendly....but it does keep my child entertained and quiet for a little while when he has been cooped up in the house most of the week because it has done nothing but rain. It's amazing what a sink of water, some everyday kitchen gadgets, and a little imagination will do!

Feeding The Ducks and Ice Cream

We met our friends Jen and Sam at Flower Hospital the other day to feed the ducks. I had TONS of bread left over from the Toledo Parent's Group Picnic and it has been sitting for weeks now. Chris has been driving me nuts to get rid of the rolls and keeps asking when Colton and I were headed out to feed those darn ducks! Well the bread is finally gone and Chris is probably relieved to see the bread out of our house (I must say I was sick of seeing it too)! We finished up our evening with ice cream from Handels mmmmm....

Last Minute Indians Game

Chris' very nice proveyer from work gave Chris tickets to the Indians game last night. We knew they were suite tickets but had no idea how great the seats really were! They were called dugout suits seats and let me tell you, we could have reached out and touched some of those players. They were up close and personal! Plus all the food and drink you could consume...of course I had to be pregnant with an open bar :0) Oh well we had a great time anyway and I most certainly made up for what I couldn't drink when the desert cart came around during the 7th inning stretch! Mmmmm homemade cream puffs, chocolate peanut butter cake, chocolate covered strawberries. Hey a girls gotta live sometime right?! Now hopefully my weight gain at my appointment next week isn't 20 lbs!!!

Yes, those are my toes! Just so you have an idea how close we were :0)

Botanical Gardens

It is so nice when I have my long stretch off from work. Just before it's my weekend I get a nice long stretch of 8 days off. It's great because I get to do so much with Colton and spend some much needed time with family. The two weeks before I get my stretch it gets to be depressing because I feel like if I am not working I am sleeping and I feel like I never get to see Colton or Chris for that matter! I am so thankful that being a nurse gives me such a great schedule...for the most part :0) On Sunday I took Colton to the Botanical Gardens. We walked around for a bit and got a few cute pictures in the beautiful gardens and then we went over to the main area where they had arts and crafts set up for the kids as well as a musician there who was playing the drums and had a whole bag full of musical goodies for the kids to play. It was hot but we still had a great time.

Just Mom And Me At The Zoo

I took Colton to the zoo last week, just he and I. It was nice to just go, the two of us together. Usually we are going with my mom's group, friends, or family but this time is was just us. It was so nice to spend a little bit of mommy/son time together. With the new baby coming I am sure there will be less and less time with just the two of us, and while I am sure I will enjoy having two children to take to the zoo, I will miss the times when it was just Colton and I.
