Gust Brothers Take II

So here are the promised pictures from Gust Brothers when we went with Chris. It was a great time, but VERY cold! It was a very quick trip to pick our pumpkins and we were out of there. The wind was wipping and it was freezing. We got 3 pumpkins and Colton had a great time getting to see the animals again and his favorite barn dog "Duke". He knew exactly who he was when we showed up too. The dog came running up to us and Colton said "Duke". It was too cute! Here is the photo that was promised. Sorry it's not the best quality, we were half way there when I realized I forgot my camera so we had to make do with the cell phone. What did we do before cell phones???

Old MacDonald Had a Farm

This is video of Colton saying his animal sounds. At the beginning I was trying to get him to use the paint like deodorant and make the monkey sound. He does this to me every time I am getting ready. I put on deodorant and he makes monkey noises. Well the other day he was using the finger paint like deodorant and making the monkey sound. It was hilarious! Of course I couldn't get him to do it again for the life of me, so you just get the monkey sound.

A Little Bit of Mischeif!

Yep, that is mascara on his face. Daddy was so proud!

Who is Your Boo??

Ok so the title is a little ghetto but I had to say it! Ha! Yeah, yeah, it is only funny to me I guess, it is only 8:30 in the morning and I am only 1/4 cup of coffee into the day...it doesn't take much! Alright on with the story. I took Colton to Little Boo at The Zoo yesterday and we tried out a new costume. Colton the construction worker. It was a much better choice except he still won't wear the hat. Thankfully he will wear the tool belt so he does sort of fit the part. The only problem is that the tools got taken to Grandma Jan's so we are going to have to get over there and pick them up. Thanks to Elle for finding the hat and belt! Here are a few pics of the day, Colton liked the Zoo's park better than anything else so that's what I have pictures of. Oh well I am learning very quickly that I am going to be getting pictures of what COLTON likes for a while and not what MOMMY likes.

Gust Brothers Pumpkin Farm

Today Colton and I went to Gust Brothers Pumpkin Farm. We went last year as well to get our fall decorations and pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns. This time around we went with Toledo Parent's Group and we will go with Chris again next week. Gust Brother's is GREAT! They have all the pumpkins, mums, gourds, etc, etc, etc, that you could possibly want, and at a great price. They also have a barn full of cows, calves, pigs, piglets, chickens, sheep, and a special bunny barn. We had a great time. If you live around here you should definitely check them out!

Picture Day at Kindermusik

Today was picture day at Kindermusik. I have talked about this class before, it's a music class for kids. We have been taking Kindermusik classes since Colton was about 8-9 wks old! This session is Milk and Cookies and Colton's 2 favorite songs are A House for Me and Shakin', Shakin'. He knows all the "moves" to the songs and what is going to come next. We always have a great time at Kindermusik and have met some great friends.

Halloween Bash

Colton and I went to our first Halloween Bash of the season on Saturday and we had a blast. Our friend Haley lives in the middle of nowhere, Ohio and invited the whole mom's group out to enjoy her property, food, crafts, hay ride, food, and trunk-or-treating! Everything was wonderful except that Colton hates, and I mean HATES his costume! LOL Wait until you scroll down and check out the pics, the couple that I have are from the 5 minutes that he wore it, mind you it took me 10 minutes of him screaming to get it on him. Not sure what we are going to do come Halloween because I am pretty sure it is not going back on him. Colton really enjoyed the trunk-or-treat part of the party. We went from car to car to pick up our treats and he is really quick at being able to snatch up a sucker while you aren't looking! We had a great time. Oh and I forgot my camera, so all photo's are courtesy of Amanda who saved the day and got a few shots of Colton for me!

Ps. If you check out Christy Johnson's blog (just click on her name and it will link you....don't you love how computer savvy I am getting :0) to check out Colton's preview photo session.

Picture Day

Well we just got back from pictures with our favorite photographer, Christy Johnson. She is absolutely wonderful and so understanding of kids! She doesn't get frustrated or annoyed with the challenges they drum up, and always keps her cool. Thank God for that because today was quite the challenge for her! Colton used to be so good for his pictures and would pretty much just ham it up for the camera....well I am afraid those days are over. He wanted NOTHING to do with sitting still or even attempting to be calm for the camera. Oh well so goes the life of a 19 month old. I think we got a few good shots of just him, but I am not so sure about the family shots. He was really done by the time we got around to those. Christy does some amazing work though, and just when I am sure she got nothing good on camera, she pulls out these proofs from I don't know where! LOL Keep an eye out for the upcoming photo shoot.

Apple Butter Festival

Chris and I took Colton to MacQueen's Apple Butter Festival today. We had a great time!!! Colton rode the ponies.....twice! LOL He loved them, we are trying to talk Grammy into an early Christmas gift as one of the ponies was for sale. YEAH RIGHT! We were also able to pick our own apples, we ate one right from the tree and they are delicious. The only problem is that in order to "pick your own" you had to buy a 1/2 bushel, for those of you who don't know a 1/2 bushel is approx 40-50 apples! So needless to say we are going to be doing some yummy baking with apples over the next few days. Good thing Colton loves to cook :0) We were also able to sample some of MacQueen's YUMMY apple fritters. OMG they are absolutely to die for. So delicious. If you live in Toledo it is totally worth the drive to MacQueen's to buy the fritter's and the apple cider. Plus if you have kids they usually find it pretty cool to watch the workers making the apple cider. Colton also enjoyed the tunes of the polka band that was there and I truly think that he would have loved to sit and listen instead of anything else we did. Over all we had an awesome day with some really great food.

Here is the Slide Show because there are too many great pics to post!
