My 1st ER Visit :0(
Well we had the joy of our first ER visit today. Colton started with a cold yesterday, you know the runny nose, coughing, whiny stuff. Well this morning he woke up with a major bug in his pants, still had the runny nose, cough, and whiny.....well that was an understatement! He seriously cried from 6:40am until 10:30 when I called the pediatrician. They got us in at 11:15 and he was retracting (really using those muscles under his ribs) and they put the pulse ox on his finger and he was only sating at 88-89%, normal is 97-100%. They gave him two breathing treatments in the office and he was still retracting and only sating at 90% so off to the ER we went. There he got seen right away which I was very thankful for and he got a chest x-ray. He did a great job getting his chest x-ray, they had him sit on a little wooden bench and he did a great job sitting still like a big boy! The x-ray showed he has bronchiolitis so they did another breathing treatment and he was sating at 97-98% so we were able to take him home. We did get to bring home our own personal breathing machine and he is supposed to get breathing treatments every 4 hours unless he needs them more frequently, for 24 hours then we do them on an as needed basis. He is pretty much back to his old self, he still seems winded but at least he is breathing better and playing. Needless to say we had a pretty scary and exhausting day, but we are definitely glad to be home and sleeping in our beds and not a hospital bed!

awww..... I'm so glad he is feeling better! I bet it scared you to death. Sounds like he handled it like a champ though!! Ugh, I wonder how many more of these episodes we will go through in the next 18 years??? haha. xoxo.
Sorry to hear about the little man's breathing difficulties. Thankfully, this should straighten him out. Nikki - what makes you think this is for only 18 years??
